The Foxcom Sat-Light platinum 7010 is a 3RU 19" rack mount chassis that provides capacity to house 12 hot swappable cards. With it's dedicated controller slot and dual redundant power supplies, the PL7010 supports the latest PL700 microprocessor features. Legacy dry and open collector discrete alarms and RSSI/PDI discrete monitoring is also a standard feature on the Sat-Light platinum chassis.
The chassis includes an innovative backplane enabling Foxcom's Sat-Light/Platinum M&C features (DigiRF) and , at the same times, provides legacy dry contact closures, open collector discrete optical and RF alarms and legacy RSSI/PDI discrete monitoring for customers upgrading from a Sat-Light system.
In addition, the chassis comes with a variety of expansion connectors for featues such as EDFA control which will be availalbe in future. The chassis is available either as a stand-alone unit or as part of thePL7010C chassis kit that includes two matching power supplies (PL7011) and an advanced M&C controller (PL700). Each power supply has an AC input, allowing the use of separate mains power sources for additional redundancy.
