SMP260 MPEG-4 IP Transcoder

The highly advanced Wellav SMP260 can transcode H.264 (also known as MPEG-4 AVC or Part 10) to MPEG-2 or MPEG-2 to H.264 with minimum loss in video quality. In additional, the SMP260 can translate and compress the digital programs either in MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 format for satellite/IP transmission. Based on the distribution needs, the service providers can choose 4-program, 8-program or 12-progam transcoding with the same equipment.

Audio Support

It also supports audio transcoding/pass through and subtitle add on/pass through. The versatile SMP260 provides the service provider a cost-effective yet scalable solution to repurpose their content from different sources and format and achieve digital content distribution seamlessly.
