Ku and Ka-Band, MIL-Standard compliant

GX100PM Milsatcom Maritime VSAT Terminal

The Intellian GX100PM is the world's first and only 1m military grade maritime stabilized communications terminal approved for use on Inmarsat's Global Xpress (GX) network. The system delivers robust performance in an off-the-shelf, turn key package.  The GX100PM is a 1.05 meter Ka-Band or Ku-Band military marine satellite communications antenna system that's completely optimized to work with Inmarsat's Global Express (GX) satellite service and other traditional Ku-Band networks. Built specifically for the DOD maritime market and incorporating all the best features from other popular marine VSAT antenna manufacturers, the Intellian GX100PM is the ultimate military maritime satellite communications system for naval and armed forces watercraft.

The Intellian GX100PM is fully certified and compliant with MIL-STD-461 for EMI/RFI and MIL-STD-167 for shock and vibration.  With its industry leading vertical isolation design, this antenna represents the most advanced design for ruggedness and extreme reliability.

High Gain

Standard features of the GX100PM system include a fully optimized high gain carbon fiber reflector and precision tuned radome that provides superior Ka-band satellite signal spectral purity.  The Intellian GX100PM also offers users an extremely easy and fast platform conversion kit for switching between Ku-Band and Ka-Band frequencies.  This conversion process can be performed at sea while underway with the radome assembly left intact.

Frequency Tuned Radome

To ensure efficient operations for both WGS Ku-band VSAT and Ka-band Inmarsat Global Xpress systems, the signal loss of the radome itself was minimized and the performance maximized with an optimized radome design that enhances both the Ka-Band and Ku-band system performance.

Ku/Ka-Band Optimized Reflector

The GX100PM is designed and engineered to operate in Ku and Ka-band, while maximizing the RF performance of both frequency bands. The carbon fiber reflector of the GX100PM is capable of handling either Ka or Ku-band, eliminating the need to replace the reflector when switching between frequencies. The system is supplied with a Ku-band feed and RF package as a standard configuration.

Simple Conversion From Ku to GX

The GX100PM can be easily and quickly converted from a Ku-band system to a Ka-band GX system with an integrated RF module consisting of the Ka BUC, Feed and LNB. The BUC & LNB assembly is attached to the rear side of the reflector and is deinstalled through a simple process, with no need to balance the system after conversion.  The Ku-band feed can be swiftly replaced with the Ka-band feed that's included in the GX Conversion kit. Once power is re-supplied to the below deck ACU and modem, the system is immediately ready for operation on the GX service network.

Gyro-Free Satellite Search Capability

Intellian's new generation Gyro-free satellite search function enables the GX100PM to acquire and lock onto a satellite without requiring a separate input from the ship's gyrocompass.

Global PLL LNB

The GX100PM is equipped with Intellian's patent pending Global PLL LNB as standard.  Intellian's new Global PLL LNB presents the world's first Ku-band LNB module capable of receiving a full range of operating frequencies from any VSAT satellite around the globe.  The PLL LNB incorporates user programmable support of an unlimited number of LO (Local Oscillator) frequencies. This uniquely innovative capability of remotely changing the frequencies of the LNB makes the GX100PM by far the only system that is ready for Global Ku-band VSAT service to date.

MIL Standards Compliance

The GX100PM is designed to meet or exceed FCC and ETSI specifications, as well as Res EN60945, EN60950, R&TT, DNV2.4 Class C, MIL-STD-167-1A, MIL-STD-461 specifications.

Auto Beam Switching (ABS)

The GX100PM supports ABS via OpenAMIP protocol of iDirect and the ROSS Open Antenna Management (ROAM) protocol of Comtech.
