Sat-Light Gold Fiber IFL System

Foxcom provides both indoor and outdoor housings for the Gold Series of Fiber Optic Interfacility Links. The indoor 19” 3RU chassis has 8 slots for any combination of transmit and receive cards. All cards are hot swappable and are powered by single or dual switching power supply units. 

 Focom 4000 Outdoor ODU

Foxcom’s 4000 Series outdoor enclosure (ODU) provides

weatherproof protection for all Gold Series transmitters and receivers.

Up to 4 Sat-Light/Gold cards can be housed in the ODU eliminating

The Sat-Light IFLs function as a transparent link between the satellite

antenna, Network Operations Center (NOC), control room, or field

operations centers. System limitations using coaxial cable are

overcome by the superior performance of fiberoptic transport.

When configured with transmitters in a downlink application both

satellite polarities can be accommodated. In an uplink configuration an

ODU mounted near the antenna, holding several receivers, can feed a

standalone up-converter, block converter (BUC), or transceiver. The

series 4003 ODU can also be configured as a transceiver for VSAT

applications. The unit includes an integrated power supply.

GL7220L L-Band Downlink

Foxcom L-Band Downlink CardFoxcom's Sat-Light/Gold L-Band Interfacility Link offers a high performance, cost effective alternative to conventional coaxial-cabled systems. The Gold L-Band IFL covers the range of 950 to 2200MHz. The Gold Series L-Band link is designed for a wide range of satellite power levels. Foxcom’s high dynamic range DFB laser delivers exceptional signal quality for the most demanding applications.

The new Gold series is compatible with first generation Sat-Light 7000 Series platform. The Gold Series support L-Band, 70/140MHz IF, Wide Band (10-2200 MHz), 10MHz Reference, Redundancy, M & C, SNMP, Ethernet, and Serial Data Communication.

The link consists of an optical transmitter, which receives the RF signal from an LNB or LNA, and an optical receiver that connects to the indoor receiver equipment. The FOXCOM 7190M Chassis is a standard 19” 1RU enclosure designed to be installed in equipment racks where only limited rack space is available.  The 7190M chassis can be populated with any combination of , up-to four, Sat-Light/Sat-Light Gold transmitters/receivers along with a variety of passive optical and RF components to provide a totally customized solution. 

The 7190M Chassis is equipped with a dual hot swappable power supplies sufficient for any combination of transmitters and receivers as specified. Power to the two installed power supplies is via two separate AC connectors allowing the use of a backup power grid.

Power supply LED monitoring for transmitter/receiver control is from the front panel. Discrete monitoring and alarms are accessible using a dedicated M&C connector.  The 7190M chassis is field upgradable allowing the user to add future transmitters and receivers for increased capacity.   7190M Datasheet

The 4004 series is built for extreme environments and rugged tactical use. Milspec TFOCA or hermaphradidtic type optical connecters can be specified offering unsurpassed performance in field conditions. SNMP support offer monitoring capabilities of active components in the ODU. The Foxcom Series 4000 series Outdoor Unit (ODU) is an outdoor enclosure providing weatherproof protection for Foxcom Sat-Light Interfacility Links. Any Foxcom Interfacility Link component can be installed outdoors, even in extreme weather conditions, eliminating the need for environment-controlled shelters.The 4000 series ODU’s can be populated with any combination of (up to) four (4) transmitters and receivers, RF Switch and a variety of passive optical and RF components in order to provide a customized solution.

The ODU is available as a standard with a single internal power supply sufficient for any combination oftransmitters and receivers chosen. The ODU can also equipped with a backup power supply. Prime power tothe ODU is via a single weather tight connector from an AC power supply. A LED indicator showing operational status is provided on the ODU. Internal LNB power selection, monitoring and alarms are available via a dedicated M&C connector. Standalone Power Supply (7000S-STD)

The standalone power supplies are available in two primary input voltages; 110 or 220 VAC 50/60Hz. Each is a wall mount design power supply with sufficient power to supply any Foxcom IFL products. Additionally, there is sufficient power available to provide for installed options such as LNB powering.

The standalone power supply is provided with a 9 pin D type/female connector.
