Adtec Digital RD60 MPEG-4/2 Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD)
Provides MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and Multi-Codec Decoding
RD60 HD Decoding
This product has reached end of life and is no longer available. It has been replaced by the RD71.
The performance grade broadcast quality Adtec RD60 IRD (Integrated Receiver Decoder) is capable of decoding MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 platforms with 420 and 422 high and standard definition. The RD60 integrated receiver decoder (IRD) supports MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 platforms with 420 and 422 high and standard definition decoding.
Comprehensive Decoding
The RD-60 decodes both MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 video with 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 chroma sampling. It boasts four pairs of stereo audio including MPEG 1 Layer 2, Dolby AC3/5.1, HE-AAC, AAC-LC audio decoding. The RD-60 series is a multi-CODEC ultra-low, low and normal delay MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 high definition IRD.
Super Low Latency
The ultra-low delay mode requires the use of an EN91 encoder and delivers picture-to-picture services in 100 milliseconds; the low and normal delay modes are supported by both the EN-91 and EN-81. The Adtec RD-60 is interoperable with other encoders making it ideal for mission critical trunking, ad-hoc OB, DSNG and teleport applications.
Compact
The lightweight, 10 pound or 4.5 Kilo this Adtec IRD offers amazing features and specifications in its 1 RU chassis.
Features
Redundant AC power supplies
Enhanced control and monitoring via its front-panel, a browser and SNMP
Video support includes SD, 2D-HD and 3D AVC 422
Sixteen channels of phase aligned audio
Robust VBI support
Reliability and ease of use
In addition to encoding phase aligned audio, the RD-60 pass-through support includes PCM, DolbyE (16 and 20 Bit) and Dolby AC3 (2.0 and 5.1).
Concurrent Processing
The RD60 Adtec IRD identifies services concurrently from ASI, IP and DVBS/S2 transport interfaces. The DVBS/S2 de-modulator supports modes ranging from QPSK up to 32APSK based on software licenses.
